Body Count- Manslaughter Review

Body Count is Back!!!! Manslaughter Review

I am not a heavy metal purist. I enjoy when bands take the element of metal and produce something that is different, yet enjoyable. Manslaughter is just that. Manslaughter takes elements of gangsta rap, heavy metal, and comedy to create an album that could be enjoyed by both metalheads and Hip Hop fans. Ice T's vocals and rhymes fit perfectly with a great supporting band. I am glad to Ernie C came back to be lead guitarist for Body Count (the only original member with Ice T).

"Talk Shit, Get Shot", Bitch in the Pit,  "99 Problems", "Manslaughter", and "Pop Bubble" featuring Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed are the most memorable tracks. My favorite has to be 2014 Institutionalized, an ode to Suicidal Tendencies. The modernized version of Institutionalized is hilarious and fits the ST mold for the song.

Hip Hop and Metal fans need to rejoice and buy Manslaughter today!

All Cheerleaders Die Review

All Cheerleaders Die

Directed by: Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson

Special thanks for letting us review this movie!!!

Review:

It is entirely possible for me to be wrong about a movie. I thought this movie looked good, but I anticipated something very different. Was this a bad thing? Hell no! All Cheerleaders Die is part Bring It On, part Twilight, part Wild Things, and part True Blood. It isn't necessarily a horror movie, it blends elements of comedy, horror, and sci-fi. The actresses in this movie are smoking hot, and have decent acting chops.

After a cheerleader dies from a botched stunt, a new cheerleader is recruited. After some lesbonic action, some witchcraft, and a car wreck (yes in that order), things start getting fun. The newly dead cheerleaders must get revenge on the star football player who has it coming.

All Cheerleaders Die is a great movie to watch with a group of mixed couples. The ladies will enjoy the cheerleading element, and the guys will enjoy everything else.

Check out the trailer below:

You can pre-order the movie: http://www.amazon.com/All-Cheerleaders-Blu-ray-Caitlin-Stasey/dp/B00JMLPC06 (set for release July 22nd). You can also stream it on Google Play and Amazon Instant Video.

Louder Than Life Festival- Louisville Announced Lineup

Holy Louisville Slugger! Louder Than Life Festival Announced

When: October 4th and October 5th
Where: Louisville, Kentucky
Who Will Be There: Check out http://www.louderthanlifefestival.com/music.html

Who should you see?

Here are the bands that you need to see, without any shadow of a doubt:

October 4th:
Butcher Babies- Our Best New Artist 2013. These girls put on a hell of a show and are totally bad ass.
In This Moment- Another phenomenal female lead metal band. Maria Brink was listed as our hottest women of metal, and among the best lead singers of any metal band today.
Volbeat- Sad enough, I have never seen these Danish rockers, but will. Fantastic band with diverse sound.
Five Finger Death Punch- I'm not a huge fan of their music, but they put on a hell of a show.

October 5th:
Wilson- Wilson fucking rocks. No doubt about it. Fantastic show and music. Think Every Time I Die.
Mastodon- Of all the shows at Rock on the Range, Mastodon brought the titties out. Mastodon rocks your face off.
Limp Bizkit- Look, I love the hip hop/metal crossover, and the fact that they are playing right before Korn makes it even better.
Korn- Saw them twice in 2013, and I can't wait to see them again. Hell of a show (hopefully this time I won't take a motherfucker during Blind).
Judas Priest- Oh fuckin' my! This was one of the big shocks of the show. Most people expect the typical festival favorites (Kid Rock, 5 Finger, etc.), but this is going to be awesome!

Most Anticipated Horror Films 2014

Most Anticipated Horror Films 2014

Overview: Unlike many other magazines, I'm not going to try to make friends and post every
single horror film that will come out in 2014. If you are like me, you want to see the very best that horror has to offer. Here is my list of most anticipated horror films for 2014 (in no particular order).

The Human Centipede (Final Sequence)
Director: Tom Six
Info: Tom Six’s conclusion to one of the most bizarre horror trilogies has promised us a centipede of over 500 people. I’m sure CGI will be involved, but I'm eager to see how Tom will finish his creation. A

The Purge Anarchy (Purge 2)
Director: James DeMonaco
Info: I despised the first film. I thought the plot had some originality to it, but the film fell for all the same traps as average horror movies. I am hoping that James takes the film to new heights with the sequel.

Excitement: 2 out of 6 Skulls

The Green Inferno
Director: Eli Roth
Info: I haven't been this excited over a future release for a long time. Eli Roth is going deep into the jungle to tell us a “Cannibal Holocaust” type film. It should be amazing!

Excitement: 6 out of 6 Skulls

Deliver Us From Evil
Director: Scott Derrickson
Info: Scott is one of my favorite directors. He hasn't done a ton of movie but his Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose were some of my favorites. His new movie involves a policemen teaming up with a priest to combat a series of unexplained crimes.

Excitement: 5 out of 6 Skulls

Horns
Director: Alexandre Aja
Info: Alexandre Aja directed one of my favorite horror films “High Tension”, but I don't know if I'm sold on Daniel Radcliffe in the horror genre. I thought the “The Woman in Black” was mediocre at best, but felt his acting was great in the film.
