Insidious: Chapter 2 Review

Insidious: Chapter 2 Review:
Insidious: Chapter 2
Director: James Wan
Writers: Leigh Whannel l and James Wan
Rating: 4.75 out of 6 Skulls
This is free on Netflix!
Summary:
The second movie takes off from where the first film left off, other than a brief flashback that sets up some plot points for the movie. There is something wrong with Josh, and the family is very concerned. Almost all of the characters from the first film continue their roles in this film. There is more comic relief in this film than in the original. I was disappointed that the music and sound effects in this film weren’t in the same ballpark as the first film.
Why you need to watch it:
Decent scares, and a great movie for the sci-fi/paranormal/horror fan. James Wan is the 21st century master of horrors with his films: Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring.  Leigh Whannell is a diverse actor and great writer that does deserve praise.
Why you may want to skip it:
It wasn’t as spooky as the original. The sound effects and music weren’t as good. The story is a bit watered down compared to the first. I would suggest not skipping it though.
Rating: 4.75 out of 6 Skulls.
James Wan is the master of horror for the 21st century, and although this isn’t his best work, it is still better than 90% of the horror movies out there. James Wan + Leigh Wannell= A good horror flick.
